At Raised Media Co., we're all about pushing creative boundaries and crafting visual stories that stick faster than gum on a New York sidewalk. And when it comes to brands that capture the the vibe of urban cool, New York or Nowhere is at the top of our collaboration wish list - right up there with "affordable Manhattan rent" and "subway cars with no weird smells."
So, we've decided to throw caution to the wind in our 100% cotton heavy weight pre-shrunk New York or Nowhere kinit hoodie — to writhe this love letter to the New York or Nowhere team – and hey, if you're reading this, let's make some magic happen!
1. Social Media Campaign: "24 Hours or Nowhere"
Here, we're capturing the pulse of New York City in real-time, showcasing the versatility of New York or Nowhere's clothing line against the backdrop of the city that never sleeps.
The Concept: A 24-hour Instagram takeover featuring 24 different New Yorkers, each wearing New York or Nowhere gear during their hour of the day. From the early bird jogger in Central Park at 5 AM to the late-night DJ spinning tracks at 3 AM, we'll showcase how the brand fits seamlessly into every aspect of New York life - yes, even that guy who's inexplicably mowing his postage-stamp lawn at midnight.
The Execution:
24 mini-documentaries, one posted each hour
Each post features a different New Yorker, their story, and how they embody the New York spirit
Behind-the-scenes content on Stories, showing the mad dash across the city to capture each subject
A final compilation video that stitches together all 24 hours, creating a visual love poem to New York City
Why it works: This campaign not only shows off the clothing in real-life situations but also taps into the diverse, never-stop energy that defines both New York City and the brand. It's a social media event that encourages engagement, creates FOMO, and provides a wealth of content for future use.
2. Print Campaign: "Subway Stories"
Let's take it underground and bring New York or Nowhere's aesthetic to the veins of the city – the subway system. Don't worry, we'll avoid featuring the infamous pizza rat. He's got his own agent now.
The Concept: A series of striking print ads that turn New York's subway maps into a canvas for storytelling. Each ad features a different subway line, with New York or Nowhere clothing integrated into stylized versions of the iconic subway map. It's like "Where's Waldo?", but with better outfits and fewer striped shirts.
The Execution:
Create visually appealing, fashion-forward reinterpretations of subway maps for key lines (L, 4-5-6, A-C-E, etc.)
Have models wearing New York or Nowhere clothing as "landmarks" along each line
Include subtle New York stories or facts within the design, rewarding viewers who take a closer look
Place these ads not just in subway cars and stations, but also in unexpected above-ground locations
Why it works: This campaign blends fashion with one of New York's most recognizable visual elements. It's a clever way to show how deeply the brand is intertwined with the city's identity, all while also creating visually arresting images that beg to be shared on social media – even though they're print ads.
3. Video Campaign: "New York State of Mind"
Let's create a video series that captures the emotional connection between New Yorkers, their city, and their style. Because nothing says "I love New York" quite like the ability to walk and text without getting hit by a taxi.
The Concept: A series of short, powerful video that explore what New York means to different people, all tied together by New York or Nowhere's clothing and branding. It's like a love story, but instead of two people, it's eight million New Yorkers and one city that keeps trying to break up with them via rent increases.
The Execution:
Produce 5-7 short films, each 2-3 minutes long
Each video focuses on a different New Yorker from different walks of life – a Broadway hopeful, a Wall Street trader, a Bronx community organizer, etc.
The subjects talk about their New York story while we see them move through their day, dressed in New York or Nowhere
Have a mix of documentary-style footage and stylized, fashion-forward scenes
The series ends in a longer cut that brings all the stories together, showing the interconnectedness of New York life
Why it works: This campaign goes beyond showcasing clothes – it connects us emotionally to what makes New York special and why people choose "New York or Nowhere." It's shareable, relatable content that positions the brand as more than just a clothing line, but a part of New York's cultural fabric.

Bringing It All Together
Each of these campaigns does more than just showcase New York or Nowhere's products – they celebrate the brand's vibe and its connection to the city. By focusing on real New Yorkers, iconic city elements, and the unique energy of NYC, we create content that stands out with current fans and attracts new ones. It's like a good slice of pizza - familiar, yet always exciting, and occasionally it drips on your New York or Nowhere t-shirt.
At Raised Media Co., we're ready to bring these ideas to life – and trust us, we've got plenty more where these came from. We're not just a experiential production company; we're storytellers, New York enthusiasts, and we're dying to collaborate with a brand that gets the city like we do. We promise to bring as much energy to this project as a New Yorker arguing about the best bagel spot.
So, New York or Nowhere, what do you say? Let's create something unique, bold, and unforgettable as the city we love. Because when it comes to capturing New York, for us, it's to collaborate with New York or Nowhere... or nowhere. (And trust us, we've seen nowhere. Sorry Ohio, we did enjoy the lack of rush hour traffic after a video shoot.)
Sincerely,
The Raised Media Co. Team
